Vendor Observer Competence Center (VOCC) – Your monthly update on the software and cloud market
The software and cloud market is highly dynamic - from new products & services, to changes in contract & license terms, to M&A activities. In the day-to-day business, one or the other important change can easily get lost. The VOCC is the monthly service for IT managers, vendor managers, IT buyers and license/contract managers who want to stay up to date on the licensing of software and cloud services and regularly exchange ideas with like-minded people.
The VOCC-Service
For almost four years, VOICE Bundesverband der IT-Anwender e.V. has been offering the platform, which reports monthly on significant news and changes in the licensing and contracting framework of the major software and cloud providers. In addition, focus topics are examined in more detail.
The 1.5-hour web session is prepared and moderated by experienced colleagues from Complion's software asset management and licensing division. In addition, participating companies use the forum for a confidential exchange of experiences and address their software-relevant topics for elaboration and discussion.
Afterwards, all participants receive the documentation (presentation) for further reading and distribution in their own companies.
The VOCC-Scope
In the context of market monitoring, the VOCC focuses on a defined vendor scope. Thus, a close observation and a regular report on the major software and cloud providers (such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP) takes place. For vendors in the extended scope, reporting of important news takes place depending on criticality and relevance. The scope is reviewed regularly and adjusted to market changes and participant requirements as needed. In addition, the VOCC also reports on overarching developments in the software and cloud market in the "SAM Market" section.
