Employee Introduction: Lennart Hollweg
Our company is made up of people, and we want to introduce you to them over the coming weeks and months. Today we are having a chat with Lennart Hollweg, our newcomer in the area of Commercial IT Management. We'll find out what makes COMPLION tick for him, what his daily tasks are, and what he does when he's not working on customer projects.
Who are you?
My name is Lennart Hollweg, I come from the beautiful city of Cologne, where I first completed my bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and then in business informatics. At Complion, my professional focus is on software asset management and software contract management.
How did you come to Complion?
For that, I have to look back two decades: I've known Henri Fild, co-founder of Complion, since elementary school. Later, we went to the same high school. We were already good friends back then, so we never completely lost sight of each other even during our different courses of study. During the final phase of my bachelor's degree in business informatics, things moved pretty fast. Whenever we talked about our current work, Henri always raved about Complion and the team. I just wanted to see that for myself. Before I started at Complion, I was able to get to know my future colleagues at the traditional Christmas party and a winter team event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The open team at Complion, with old and now also new friends, clearly contributes to a positive and trusting working atmosphere - it's even easier to work together in a team like this.
What are your main focuses at Complion?
My consulting focus is on software asset management and software contract management. Here I support companies in effectively managing and optimizing software licenses and resources.
In a current project, we are analyzing deployment data on Microsoft installations as a team in order to derive the license requirements for the Microsoft True Up message. In another project, we are preparing a workshop for the S/4HANA transformation, also as a team. In particular, the constant exchange with my colleagues from Complion and the customers make the projects very varied and equally successful.
Internally, as part of the social media team, I share responsibility for planning and implementing social media strategy, creating engaging content, and analyzing results to ensure our audiences are reached effectively.
What does your day-to-day work at Complion look like?
If my Labrador dog Lotta hasn't woken me up by 7:00 a.m., then the alarm clock does. Afterwards, I go for a walk in the forest to exercise Lotta and to get myself fit for the day in the fresh air. I can do my work from home or from the office in Cologne. Due to the Corona pandemic, most appointments / meetings take place online. Usually my week consists of three home office days and two office days in Cologne. The lunch break in the Cologne office is always a highlight again, when we discuss for ten minutes what new things we could try, but in the end the tried and true wins.
What are you passionate about outside of Complion?
Since I was 6 years old, I play field and indoor field hockey in my home club THC Bergisch Gladbach. The biggest triumph was certainly the promotion to the 2. Bundesliga in 2016, which was a big sensation for my small "village club". In addition, I have been involved as a coach for various youth and adult teams. Basically, I am very enthusiastic about sports, which is why - when I am not playing field hockey, tennis or soccer myself - I watch all sporting events. Since I was a kid, I've been rooting for 1. FC Köln and following the ups and downs, although it used to be more of an down and is currently a single up. Apart from sports, I'm a big fan of hiking and dogs, which fortunately can be combined perfectly.
