Employee Portrait: Cüneyt Baluch
My name is Cüneyt Baluch and I am from Hamburg, where I studied political science. Inspired by science fiction literature in my early youth, I decided to train as a system administrator with a focus on the cloud. My specialist areas at Complion are cyber security and software asset management.
How did you come to Complion?
My path to Complion began while working in IT support. The various challenges and the need to always stay up-to-date in an era of rapid technological developments and changes particularly appealed to me. Here I experience a diverse range of technological challenges and innovations in projects on a daily basis.
What is your focus at Complion?
In the editorial department of the Cyber Security Competence Center (CSCC), a service of the VOICE Bundesverband der IT-Anwender e.V., I am part of a team that prepares the latest cyber security reports. I also work on customer projects relating to software asset management.
What does your day-to-day work at Complion look like?
Although I really appreciate the opportunity to work from home, I prefer to go to the office. One reason for this is the opportunity to meet my colleagues in person and have lunch together. In our regular CSCC editorial meetings, we discuss important topics and work on them together until the issue is finalized towards the end of the week. I am also involved in various projects in Software Asset Management. Here I help to efficiently manage software licenses and applications in the company in order to control costs, ensure compliance and minimize risks associated with software usage.
What are you passionate about outside of Complion?
I love going for walks, especially on days when I'm working a lot on the computer. As I take a different route every time, I think I've already explored a large part of Hamburg's streets on foot. I also enjoy reading, especially science fiction literature from the 60s to 80s, and playing the guitar.
