Complion Insights – Anne Pinke

Hi Anne - would you kindly introduce yourself?

I work for Complion at the Hanover site. My main areas of focus are software asset and license management (SAM) and data protection.

Anne Pinke

How did you come to Complion?

I have been part of Complion since 2018. I got to know the core team in my previous role at Deloitte in Berlin, where I was responsible for training management at the Deloitte SAM Academy. With the introduction of the GDPR, I became increasingly involved in data protection projects. The collaboration has been a good fit from the start, and I still enjoy working with customers on practical solutions, which is why I've stayed.

What are your main areas of focus at Complion?

In recent years, my focus has been primarily on the SAM environment – in particular on strategic issues, governance, and processes. In addition, I have been involved in creating the content of the Vendor Observer Competence Center (VOCC) since its inception. I moderate this VOICE service on a monthly basis with my colleagues. Here, we report on important news and changes in the licensing and contractual agreements of major software and cloud providers.

In data protection, I work as an external data protection officer and support companies in projects related to GDPR implementation – from documentation (e.g., records of processing activities) and the development of guidelines to day-to-day consulting. Another focus is the development of data protection teams, for example through customized training courses.

Internally at Complion, I also manage our website and social media — a creative outlet where we regularly discuss as a team which topics we would like to communicate to the outside world.

What does your typical workday at Complion look like?

I mainly work from home in Hanover. Every now and then, I also go to the Hafven co-working space, where I particularly appreciate the interdisciplinary exchange.

Virtual meetings now take up a lot of time and enable us to work efficiently. At the same time, personal contact is important to me, so I like to take the opportunity to talk to customers and colleagues in person. Even though traveling is no longer the norm, face-to-face meetings remain a valuable part of working together for me.

What are you passionate about outside of Complion?

In my free time, I prefer to be outdoors – ideally without a screen. I enjoy spending time with my daughter, going on bike rides together, swimming as often as possible in the summer, or simply doing a few hours of gardening. I also make a point of starting something new every year – last year it was tango, this year it's ballet lessons and Dutch.
